Systematic review of literature or meta-analysis

Systematic reviews can be considered empirical studies. Currently, there are several distinct methods for conducting a systematic review. For example, on the Temple University website (http://guides.temple.edu/systematicreviews/systematicreviewservice) it is possible to consult the different types of systematized literature reviews (eg, systematic review, scope review, integrative review and meta-analysis). Authors should clearly state the type of systematic review performed in the article. It is advisable to do this in the abstract and in the Method section. Systematic review articles have the same order of contents as empirical articles (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion and Final Considerations). It is strongly suggested that the systematic reviews submitted to the journal are in line with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA, see http://www.prisma-statement.org). Maximum 25 pages.
