Experiências Adversas na Infância e seus Efeitos na Parentalidade: uma Revisão de Escopo

Resumo


Este estudo utilizou uma revisão de escopo para explorar os efeitos das experiências adversas na infância (ACEs) nos cuidadores, analisando publicações entre 2018 e 2022. Centrou-se em estudos que investigaram ACEs em mães, pais e outros cuidadores de crianças entre 4 e 10 anos, avaliando tanto variáveis dos cuidadores quanto de seus filhos. Dos 2.041 artigos identificados, 19 atenderam aos critérios de inclusão. A síntese desses estudos revelou impactos significativos das parentalidade, a saúde dos cuidadores, a saúde das crianças e efeitos transgeracionais. Apesar de as ACEs poderem ter efeitos negativos no desenvolvimento de adultos e crianças, bem como no exercício da parentalidade, elas não determinam de forma absoluta as trajetórias de risco. O estudo destaca mecanismos de apoio que podem ser reforçados para facilitar a recuperação, como a qualidade da relação do casal e a função reflexiva do trauma. Esses achados ressaltam a importância de intervenções oportunas e eficazes para cuidadores com ACEs.
