Transtornos de Ansiedade e Fatores de Risco de Suicídio: Uma Revisão Sistemática

Resumo


Este constructo apresenta e discute fatores de risco (FR) pessoais, ambientais e biofisiológicos para ideação, tentativa ou consumação do suicídio em cada um dos sete transtornos de ansiedade (TA) presentes no Manual Diagnóstico Estatístico de Transtornos Mentais (DSM-5). Trata-se de uma revisão sistemática de produções compostas por estudos empíricos transversais ou de prevalência, de coorte prospectivos ou retrospectivos e ensaios clínicos randomizados, a partir dos bancos de dados Pubmed, Cochrane Library e American Psychological Association onde foram encontrados 1487 estudos. Após análise com base nos critérios de elegibilidade, foram selecionados 24 estudos contendo um total de 2.402 casos de TA que compõem o banco de dados desta revisão. FR e o desfecho de ideação, tentativa ou consumação do suicídio foram encontrados para os transtornos de Pânico, Agorafobia, Ansiedade Social, Ansiedade Generalizada e Fobia Específica. Estes dados podem ampliar a compreensão teórica e produção técnica das diversas abordagens dentro das ciências da saúde e assim contribuir na construção e aperfeiçoamento de procedimentos e protocolos clínicos visando o tratamento de indivíduos com TA e a prevenção do suicídio. Além disso, foi possível perceber que uma parte significativa dos suicídios podem ser evitados com a prevenção de transtornos mentais.
