Girls on Crack: the Use and the Dependence Vulnerabilities

Resumen


One of the major health and social problems of today, the crack addiction, besides has generates physical damage to users' health, violence and misery in the family, many problems for whole society. Whit this article aims to identify vulnerabilities that lead young women, specifically, to be addicted to this substance. For this finality, a qualitative research was conducted through semi-structured interview, whit the technique of content analysis of information and with a sample of crack female users for convenience in healthcare institutions. It was possible whit this, the categorization of risk factors that may have influenced the drug abuse. Conclusions. It was observed the initial vulnerabilities of this specific group are presented from the difficulties and problems experienced first in the family, that once added to the lived experiences in different contexts and, specific situations mainly female, make some women more prone to the influence of external factors in the pursuit of pleasure and relief through the use of drugs than others. It was still possible verify that the onset crack use by female, is not starting only in adolescence, but has also started in adulthood.
