Between margins and resistances: the afro space in the contemporary urban fabric in Campinas

Abstract


This bibliographic research discusses the victimization of individuals of African origin, seeking to understand why the lack of sensitivity to racial equality, the devaluation of culture and how much this reflects on the social integrity in Brazil, thoughts and actions that last from the slave era to the present. Aiming to value the characteristics of African culture and the way it has been treated throughout history, in order to evidence the resistance and struggle on the part of the slaves, in the Brazilian endoculturation process. Proposing through to the cultural spaces, environments mediating experiences, historical knowledge and experiences - aiming more effective modifications through the awareness about the importance of this culture in contemporary Brazilian society.
