Numerical analysis of shear test on slabs massive

Abstract

This paper presents a numerical analysis of slabs submitted to the prevailing action of shear force. Firstly, an introduction was made on massive slabs, numerical modeling using the finite element method and on experimental tests of slabs subjected to shear force. With values obtained from experimental results a numerical modeling of slabs was performed considering the plastic non-linearity of the concrete through the Concrete and Drucker-Prager models, using the modulus of elasticity of concrete corrected according to the homogenized section, based on experimental data. The steel bars were also modeled considering the plasticity of the material. Numerical models showed good correspondence with experimental behavior.
