Fluoridation level in water supply Passo Fundo

Abstract


The supply of water fluoridation is one of the main preventive public health measures to control tooth decay. The objective of this study was to know the level of fluoridation of the water supply of the city of Passo Fundo. This work has a quantitative approach, whose design was cross-sectional and aimed to check the levels of fluoridation of water supply of the city of Passo Fundo, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Data were collected from public reports of Corsan, stating the minimum, maximum and average fluoride in the water, in the years 2014 and 2015 totaling 72 samples. Evaluations considered inadequate did not exceed 5% of the analysis. Concluding that the average fluoride concentration presented in accordance with current legislation during the two years studied.
